Socceroos badge rebrand
Concepts for the Socceroos shirt badge/crest rebrand
This was my entry for Instagrams @logoinspirations #worldcuplogochallenge. Basically to create an original rebrand of your national soccer teams logo.
Since Australia's team is known as the Socceroos I chose to keep the Kangaroo in the design, added a soccer ball and explored some Australiana elements like the Southern Cross and the 7 pointed star that can be found on our national flag. Each point of the star represents a state our territory of Australia.
The final design was chosen in an effort to keep things simple, being consciously aware of where the designs would be used - embroidered badges on shirts. The kangaroos were simplified to basic lines and the year that the national team was established was included at the bottom.
